Mike is an O`ahu based trumpeter specializing in jazz, classical, and other forms of popular music in performance, composition/arranging, and education. As a performer, he is around the island playing in several groups and as a freelance musician. With his regular group, Air Jazz (Combo), Mike is a writer/arranger in addition to being a performer.

As an educator, Mike is the Director of Bands at a private school on O`ahu in addition to maintaining a private studio of primarily trumpet students.

Mike holds a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from the University of Hawai`i and a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies from Columbia College Chicago.
