Anthony Cosio-Marron is the Assistant Principal/Second Trombone in the Nashville Symphony, a position he has held since his appointment in 2023. Since moving to Nashville, Anthony has also joined the ranks of the recording artists in Nashville’s vibrant studio scene, and he has participated as a recording artist in a number of major video game, film, and commercial projects. He also teaches privately as well as through the NSO’s accelerando program. He has appeared as a substitute on multiple occasions with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, and Qatar Philharmonic.
Originally from Maryland, Anthony received his Bachelor’s degree in music from the Cleveland Institute of Music, his Master’s from the University of Michigan, and his Doctorate from Boston University. His primary teachers have been Toby Oft, Don Lucas, David Jackson, and Massimo La Rosa.
