Marty Bassett has been a Music Educator and performer in Southern California for over 3 decades. Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Marty has traveled all over the US and Mexico as a musician. He has performed with several groups over the years and is currently a full-time​ member of three ensembles (Unsteady, Wise Monkey Orchestra and Rumba y Soul) as well as taking advantage of as many freelance opportunities as possible. When not playing, Marty is the Jazz Director at Del Norte High School and also works with several different school programs as a clinician. His passion for music and the arts is only second to the love he has for his family.
