Born and raised in Falls Church, Virginia, trumpeter Steve O'Connor joined the Presidio Brass in July of 2011. He enjoys an active freelance career in the Los Angeles area, including performances with the Los Angeles Opera San Diego Symphony, as well as half a dozen regional orchestras.  Steve has also served as a clinician and educator throughout Los Angeles, including time as adjunct faculty at Cal State University, Long Beach.   When he's not on tour, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife Maria Elena and son, Jack.
