Nashville Symphony Performer Chooses the XO 1236L-O as Instrument of Choice
MOUNT JULIET, TN, December 3, 2025...XO Brass Instruments is proud to welcome trombonist Anthony Cosio-Marron as the newest artist representative for the XO brand. An accomplished performer and educator, Cosio-Marron currently serves as the Assistant Principal/Second Trombone of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held since 2023.
Cosio-Marron has selected the XO 1236L-O trombone as his preferred instrument. “The XO 1236 provides a rich, versatile sound that helps me fit in with my colleagues in the orchestra, in recording sessions, and anywhere else I find myself!” he shares.
In addition to his symphony work, Cosio-Marron is an active member of Nashville’s vibrant recording community where he has contributed to a variety of major projects across video games, film, and commercial media. He is an accomplished music educator, teaching privately and through the Nashville Symphony’s Accelerando program, which aims to prepare gifted young musicians from underrepresented ethnicities for careers in classical music.
Cosio-Marron has performed as a substitute with several major award-winning ensembles, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, and Qatar Philharmonic.
A Maryland native, he holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan, and a Doctorate from Boston University. His principal teachers include Toby Oft, Don Lucas, David Jackson, and Massimo La Rosa.
